Malawi's Temwa Chawinga wins the Golden Boot as Cameroon's Monique Ngock and Bihina Michaely take the Player of the Tournament and Best Goalkeeper awards.

The 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) has concluded with several players and teams recognised for their outstanding performances throughout the tournament.

Malawi forward Temwa Chawinga was crowned the tournament's Golden Boot winner, finishing as the competition's leading scorer. Her goals and performances played a key role in the Scorchers' historic run to their first-ever WAFCON final.

Cameroon's Monique Ngock was named Player of the Tournament after playing a pivotal role in the Indomitable Lionesses' title-winning campaign. Cameroon secured their maiden WAFCON crown after defeating Malawi 3-0 in the final.

Another Cameroonian standout, goalkeeper Bihina Michaely, was named Best Goalkeeper following a series of impressive performances throughout the competition. Her composure between the posts and crucial penalty saves contributed to Cameroon's successful campaign.

The Fair Play Award went to Algeria, recognising the team's conduct during the tournament.
