Movement leaders said the planned protests are intended to pressure the registrar to conclude the registration process, arguing that any further delays would undermine their constitutional right to political association. The registration dispute has intensified after competing claims emerged over the ownership of the Linda party name, prompting calls for the matter to be resolved transparently.

The developments come as the movement's leader, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, reaffirmed his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election. Addressing supporters, Sifuna dismissed criticism that he lacks the experience to seek the country's highest office, maintaining that leadership should be judged by vision, integrity and the ability to address the challenges facing Kenyans.
