Gachagua Calls for Fresh Probe Into Johana Ng’eno’s Death

Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has raised fresh questions surrounding the death of former Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johana Ng’eno, calling for renewed investigations into the circumstances of the fatal helicopter crash.

Speaking during a rally in Emurua Dikirr, Gachagua said unanswered questions remained about the February crash and called for fresh inquiries into the helicopter, its operations and the circumstances leading up to the accident.

The former Deputy President has previously called for a thorough investigation into the tragedy and maintained that more clarity is needed over the circumstances surrounding the death of the former legislator and five other people.

Ng’eno and five others died when the helicopter they were travelling in crashed in Nandi County on February 28, 2026. The tragedy shocked the country and triggered mourning in Emurua Dikirr, where Ng’eno had served as a Member of Parliament for several years.
